The Association was established in order to pass on to the next generation, the Traditional Ip
Family Wing Chun system as it has been passed to Grandmaster Samuel Kwok, through his
training under many first-generation students of Ip Man including years under the instruction of
both of Ip Man's sons.

Grandmaster Samuel Kwok
has been studying Wing Chun for almost 40
years. He first studied under Chan Wai Ling
in Hong Kong in 1967. After moving to the UK
in 1972, he studied under Lee Shing. It was
Lee Shing who introduced Sifu Kwok to
Master Ip Chun in 1978. After intensive private
study with Master Ip Chun in 1981, he was
awarded Master Status and represented Ip
Chun for years in Europe.
Master Kwok was the first to bring Ip Chun
and Ip Ching from Hong Kong, and introduce
their teaching to the U.K. Europe, Germany,
Australia, Denmark and the U.S.A. In 1994 ,
Master Kwok returned to study with
Grandmaster Ip Ching and is the SENIOR
REPRESENTATIVE of the Ip Man / Ip Chun /
Ip Ching Lineage in the U.K. and U.S.A. with
certified instructors around the world.
In 1998, Master Kwok was awarded a BA
Honours from Manchester University for a
lifetime acheivement in promoting the martial
arts.
Samuel Kwok has also trained many of the
top Wing Chun instructors now actively
teaching in their own right in the UK, the
U.S.A. and around the world.
Sifu Kwok now teaches privately from his
home in Blackpool as well as a local class. He
also gives regular seminars to his schools
around the UK, and the rest of the world. He
is dedicated to the spread of the Original and
Authentic Wing Chun system as passed to
him directly by the Ip Family.
